According to the 2011 census, M.P. The total population of urban areas of the state is about 2.00 crores which is 28 percent of the total population of the state. The population of youth in the age group of 21-30 years living in the urban area is about 17 percent. Of this age group, 17 percent aspire to get employment.

In this ratio, the number of youths aspiring for employment in the year 2019 is expected to be 6.50 lakh. It is necessary to provide vocational skills training to these 6.50 lakh youths of the state to make them self-reliant in future. At the same time, it is the moral obligation of the welfare state to provide meaningful employment opportunities to these aspiring youth for a specified period of the year to meet the immediate needs of living. Proposed Youth Self-Employment Scheme, this dual objective-Professional skills training for long term self sufficiency and efforts are being made to provide employment for a certain period of the year for the immediate needs of living.

Key points of Chief Minister Youth Self-Respect Scheme MP :

Objective: To provide 100 days employment and skill training to urban unemployed youth.

Eligibility: Age 21-30 years, Residents of urban areas of Madhya Pradesh, It is mandatory to be unemployed.

Benefit: 100 days skill training, Stipend of ₹4,000 per month.

Application: Application can be made through the portal or at the local body office.

This scheme provides training to the youth to enhance their skills and make them self-reliant, so that they can get permanent employment in the future.
